A Roadtrip with Jeanne

Oh my goodness my journey with Jeanne has felt like really fun road trip. We've laughed and cried and evolved from mothers with young kids, her toddlers, me babies to now she is newly empty nested and my oldest is about to turn eighteen!! She raised and ran her household and now is an ordained priest, heading up her own congregation while continuing to help yet another style stuck individual find and refine their style and identity through their wardrobes.

And speaking of identities, as you can imagine, Jeanne's style has evolved on this twelve plus year road trip of ours. Honestly I don't remember much of her style when we first started working together but it did become apparent over time that Jeanne appreciated my own personal style. So much so, that l would find that shopping for her was dangerous, I would end up wanting all the same pieces. Or l'd add a new piece to my wardrobe and post it on IG and instantly get a text from Jeanne asking where I got said item.

This similar taste in clothing was a compliment and made sense, we are both tall athletic women so when one found a pair of pants long enough, the other was all over it! But I was always keen on when Jeanne would inquire about something new she wanted to try and she is so good at seeking and following her inspiration in all areas of her life, I'm pretty sure that's how she became priest and its made her a dynamic, and beautiful person to be around.

Over time started to notice that Jeanne was really sparking when it came to color and pattern and the mixing and matching of them. She was also inspired by the actress Sharon Horgan who seems to have an influence on all of her characters personal styles. And could see the evolution of JEANNE'S style taking shape. I remember every fall she would say to me "Ok I want go more neutral and clean lines" and I'd say, no you don't! If I get you a neutral clean lined wardrobe you're going to call me in a week crying because your wardrobe isn't inspiring you!! And true to form, we'd head out shopping and my beautiful and brave friend would gravitate to every bright, bold and brash color, style and silhouette you could find and I was THERE FOR IT!!

Now have to say, Jeanne has to be one of the most fashionable women and priests out there. Here style is confident and colorful, approachable and gives you a 'don't take yourself too serious, but I am fabulous' vibe. She is known for her bold choice in eyewear (which has been my favorites to shop with her for and her confidence in rocking bold colors and patterns that flatter her of course. She stays true to what feels good and what functions for her needs and demands of job but she always does it with a real sense and confidence of what she wants her style and brand to convey, I've SO enjoyed Jeanne and I's style road trip thus far. I count myself blessed to be on this ride with her and I'm secretly so excited to see how the road looks ahead.

Wherever we go I know we're going to do it in style. LVU Jeanne
